Twittering with Public Relations

Twittering with Public Relations

2008-10-03

UrbaneApts is a “Progressive property management company with 10 Urbane-branded properties”. They tweet short messages about events and people in the buildings. This sounds great to Internet addicts that love to stay in touch. This sword cuts both ways; it could be a public relations problem if a status is about something offensive. Companies are adopting this micro-blog technology, but their legal and public relations staffs are awaiting problems. So be careful with the language you tweet.

Consider the use of a Twitter interface in your Online Asset Management System (OAMS) aka Property Management Software (PMS) so that staff can stay in touch with one another while the main office can keep track. Or set up a private Twitter group using GroupTweet.
