Homestays and Amateur Property Management
Amateur property owners become professional property managers. This may be renting a room with some amenities included, running a Bed and Breakfast or providing Homestays. In India, where some homes have fallow living quarters, some homeowners are taking to hosting guests in a way that is slightly more intimate than a Bed and Breakfast may in the United States. Companies, like IDS are refocusing their property management software as a portal for Homestay operators. As such offerings increase in numbers, improve in functionality, and decrease in price, owners of unused space will be able to market and operate in a professional manner, improving their ability to get a return on their unutilized asset.
